If you’re fan of abstract Hip-Hop beats or Jazzy Trip-Hop you probably have already felt upon the quality work of Belgian duo 40 Winks. Through their discography, Padmo and Weedy have indeed developed a special and unique tasty downtempo sound they call themselves Instrumental Hip-Hop with a Twist, that you can (re) discover without delay on their well-stocked Bandcamp.
I was pretty sure those guys have a strong musical culture so after contacting them for creating something for the Special Guest series, I was glad to see Weedy accept the invitation. And… TADAM !! (note how the crucial moment is highlighted) I now have the great pleasure to share with you a Soul, Jazz & Funk selection directly imported from Belgium, that Weedy describes like : A few tunes that make me take a series of rhythmical steps and movements in time.
