When I first heard of Pedro Canale, aka Chancha Via Circuito, it was with an incredible remix of some kind of traditional South-American song from Miriam Garcia & Alicia Solans. This track, extracted from Pedro’s 2nd album Rio Arriba and released by ZZK, brought me instantly  at 4000 meters of altitude in an Andes cordillera’s lost valley…

This is what makes music’s brand of this Buenos Aires suburbs native : a strong evocative and dreamlike power at the crossroads of Latin American and electronic musics. From his Nueva Cumbia’s beginning to most sophisticated sound of his latest album Amansara, released by Nickodemus‘s Wonderwheel Recordings label, he forged all along his discography unprecedented mergers between Brazilian rhythms, Paraguayan harp, Andean mysticism and solitude of Argentinian folklore – all processed through his own futuristic style of post-dubstep.
